A Mediterranean Memoir of "Kiss" and "Home"
As a fashion design student, my life was once defined by the precision of pattern cutting and the frenetic energy of Fashion Week. Yet, beyond the structured world of couture, I found myself repeatedly drawn to the south—escaping the muted tones of the north for the vibrant soul of the Mediterranean.
Amidst the sea breezes of Sicily and the rugged cliffs of Amalfi, I discovered a different kind of design philosophy. It was found in the warmth of terracotta beneath my fingertips, the dancing shadows of midday trees captured on a ceramic bowl, and the scent of crushed rosemary in a hand-poured candle. I fell in love with the "effortless elegance" of the South—a way of living where every small moment is treated as a sacred ritual.
The Enduring Echo of the South.
After graduation, the journey took me back to China. Though my surroundings changed, my heart remained tethered to those sun-drenched shores. I found myself constantly longing for the tactile beauty and the slow, soulful pace of Southern Italy. It was this lingering nostalgia—this inability to say goodbye—that became the catalyst for Bacio&Casa (Kiss & Home).
I wanted to bridge these two worlds, using my eye for fashion to deconstruct and reimagine the aesthetics of the home:
-
Beyond Mere Objects: Every cup, every candle, and every piece of stoneware in our collection is curated through a lens of Mediterranean color theory and artisanal texture.
-
An Extension of the Senses: Just as a garment is tailored to the body, a home should be "tailored" to the soul. I seek to bring you a sense of tranquility and cinematic beauty through these distant finds.
This boutique is more than just an independent shop; it is a bridge built from my six years in Italy, designed to bring a piece of that timeless Mediterranean warmth into your space. I invite you to join me in giving your home a gentle "kiss" within the quiet rhythms of everyday life.
